Yarn alternatives

In all the patterns, the recommended yarn is stated. That is, the yarn that the pattern was originally knitted in. However, you can always choose to knit in a different yarn than the original yarn. If you do so, it is extra important that you test the tensionof your knitting. As long as you can comply with the knitting gauge, you can knit in any yarn you like.

There are always plenty of options for finding a great yarn alternative to knit a pattern in. You can either choose to replace one yarn quality with a similar yarn quality, e.g. by replacing a mohair thread with another mohair. You can also choose to use a completely different yarn type, e.g. by replacing 2 strands of thin yarn with 1 strand of a thicker quality.
