LINE Mittens
LINJE Mittens is a technique-building project in two-color brioche, focusing on structure, fit, and color logic.
The mittens are knitted bottom-up and allow you to systematically work with the brioche construction: the interplay between stitch and yarn over, the rhythm of color changes, and the vertical lines that create a calm, graphic expression. At the same time, you train your ability to read the stitch pattern as you go.
This project is suitable if you want to:
- build confidence in two-color brioche
- learn to recognize and "read" brioche stitches
- work with thumb increases integrated into the structure
- understand how shaping affects the stitch pattern
The thumb is shaped as a natural part of the pattern, and the decreases at the top gather the lines into a soft finish. You work with the technique in a manageable format, where repetition creates calm and immersion.
The elasticity of brioche knitting provides a flexible fit and extra warmth, but the project is as much a study in structure as it is a finished product.
LINJE Mittens are therefore not just mittens – but an introduction to working consciously with brioche as a constructive technique.
