LINJE Neck Warmer
The LINJE Neck Warmer is a technique-building project in two-color brioche, focusing on structure and color logic.
It allows you to systematically work with the structure of brioche knitting, increases integrated into the pattern, and the rhythm of color changes. The distinct lines help you read the stitch pattern as you go and understand brioche knitting as a construction. The technique provides a unique depth and elasticity, allowing the collar to drape beautifully around the neck and shoulders. Finish with either a decorative picot edge or a simple, straight bind-off for a cleaner look.
This project is particularly suitable if you want to:
- build confidence in two-color brioche
- learn to recognize and "read" brioche stitches
- work with decreases integrated into the structure
- understand how shaping affects the stitch pattern
The increases over the shoulder section form delicate branches, training your ability to maintain the rhythm of the structure even as the stitch count increases. You work with the technique in a manageable format, where repetition creates calm and depth.
The elasticity of brioche knitting makes the neck warmer reversible, but it is as much a study in structure as a finished product.
The LINJE Neck Warmer is therefore not just a collar – but an introduction to consciously working with brioche as a constructive technique.
